The Crescent delivers a comfortable stay with good-sized rooms and plenty of free parking. Wi-Fi was strong, and the location is only a 10-15 minute walk from the town center, which is great for exploring Reading's attractions. the check-in process was smooth and welcoming, making for a pleasant start.
Worn furnishings.

Decent free parking and reasonably strong Wi-Fi. The close distance to town made for easy exploration without much hassle.
Rooms too small and cleanliness issues evident. Several lights out in corridors created a dark and potentially unsafe environment. Noise from other guests made it hard to get a good night's sleep, incredibly bothersome at night.

The key access to the front door was a lifesaver! 😅 But, wow, the room was filthy, with a grimy window and dusty everything. The staff weren’t friendly either. Not worth the hassle!

The overall experience was quite disappointing, with
the room being cramped, and the bathroom not well-maintained. The staff were friendly, which was a positive, but I encountered issues such as street noise and thin walls disrupting my sleep.

Request a room facing away from the street for a quieter stay, as sound travels easily through the walls.

We had a lovely time during our stay! The kids enjoyed the good-sized parking and the quiet street, which made it easy to explore Reading for the weekend festivities. The bed was comfy, and there was plenty of hot water for our morning routines.
In my wife's opinion, the hotel seemed a bit tired and could use some refreshing. It would be great if they added more kid-friendly activities around the property.

I stayed in a Twin Room en suite for 4 nights, and it was pretty basic. The bed was comfy, which was a plus! I liked that there was lots of hot water. the shower settings were a bit erratic. The place felt worn out with some dirt in the corners. A friendly guy helped me with my bags at check-in, but the noise from other guests was annoying at times. It's not a luxury spot, but it did its job.

The mattress felt worn out and uncomfortable, leading to a poor night's sleep, especially given the high price point. the shower settings were erratic, with only scalding water available. Check-in and check-out were disorganized, with no staff around to address issues, which further added to the frustration. the indulgent pastries served during breakfast were an enjoyable treat that provided a brief highlight during the stay.
